Meet Astrid the textile moth art doll. A beautiful handsewn embroidered moth art toy. This moth is one of the first little art toys and collectibles I created. I painted the linen wings before embroidering, sewing them, and attaching them to the moth's body. The wings do not contain wire and though they can be slightly posed to be more open or closed, but they will not hold an upright shape.

The wingspan of the moth is 25 cm (10 inches), and the body of the moth is 10 cm (4 inches) long and 3.5 cm (~1.5 inches) wide. The moth has been sprayed with a fine UV and color protective layer but I would still suggest keeping it out of direct sunlight to reduce fading.
